Body of missing man Paul Welsh found in River Clyde

The body of a man who had been missing from his home in Glasgow has been found in the River Clyde.

Paul Welsh, from the Gorbals area, was last seen drinking with a relative in the city's Saltmarket on 8 April.

The body of the 39-year-old was recovered by officers from Strathclyde Fire and Rescue, near to the Broomielaw, on Sunday.

Police said a post-mortem examination would be held to establish how he died. There are no suspicious circumstances.
