Murder inquiry after Govan stab death

A murder inquiry has been launched after the body of a man with stab wounds was found in a Glasgow street.

The body of 48-year-old Gary Logue was discovered in Elderpark Street in the Govan area of the city at about 04:10.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident by an anonymous call saying a body was lying in the street.

Mr Logue, from the Pollokshields area, was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital. It is understood police are following a definite line of inquiry.

Following a post-mortem examination, Strathclyde Police said they were treating the death as murder and appealed for information.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
