A restricted patient has been missing from Glasgow's Leverndale Hospital for more than two weeks, it has emerged.

Steven Wilson, 47, failed to return from a period of unescorted ground leave on 30 March.

The Scottish government said it was "increasingly concerned" and advised members of the public to contact police if Mr Wilson was sighted.

He is described as 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, with receding black hair, brown eyes and a tanned complexion.

When last seen he was clean shaven.

Mr Wilson also has a scar on the left side of his face which is about 4in in length, running from his mouth to ear.

He has a tattoo of a cannabis leaf on his lower left arm and a tattoo of a love heart on the right forearm.

He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, red Adidas tracksuit top, blue jeans and white trainers.
