Police are appealing for help in tracing a vulnerable teenage boy who has been missing for two days.

Ryan Haggerty, 15, was last seen in Ardlaw Street, Govan, Glasgow, at 16:30 on Monday. He requires daily medication which he does not have with him.

Ryan is described as white, about 5ft 8in tall, of slim build with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey Nike hooded top, black shiny tracksuit bottoms and black Nike trainers.

Police have contacted Ryan's friends and family and are carrying out door-to-door enquiries and CCTV checks.

Sgt Scott Brown, of Strathclyde Police, said: "Ryan has family in Airdrie and Pollok and close friends in Glasgow and Paisley but he has not been in contact with anyone since Monday afternoon.

"Due to this, and his health issues, both police and his family are very concerned for his safety and well-being."

Sgt Brown asked anyone who has seen Ryan, or knows of his whereabouts, to contact police "as a matter of urgency".

He added: "I would also appeal Ryan to make contact with us or a family member, to assure us that he is alright."
