Man held over comments about Rangers star Kyle Bartley

An 18-year-old man has been arrested after alleged racist comments were made about Rangers star Kyle Bartley.

The comments, which appeared on the social networking site Twitter, were reported to police over the weekend.

The Strathclyde force said the teenager was being held in custody and a report would be sent to the procurator fiscal. He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

Kyle Bartley played for Rangers in the club's 3-0 loss to Celtic on Sunday.
