The body of a missing hillwalker has been found on Arran.

Paul Henry, 31, from Stranraer, had not been heard from since he contacted his family from the island on Sunday.

Police said his body was recovered from the mountain area of Glen Rosa, near Brodick, on Wednesday afternoon. His family have been informed.

A post mortem examination will take place to establish how Mr Henry died but police said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
