Two men have been charged with murder after a teenager was stabbed to death in a West Yorkshire village street.

Craig Hepburn, 19, from Renfrewshire, was attacked in Marsden in the early hours of Saturday and died in hospital.

Mr Hepburn's 18-year-old friend, also from Renfrewshire, was also attacked and remains in hospital in a serious condition.

The two suspects, aged 21 and 36, have also been charged with attempted murder, West Yorkshire Police said.

They will appear before Huddersfield Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Police officers were called to reports of an attack in the Old Mount Road area of Marsden shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Det Supt Paul Taylor, the officer in charge of the investigation, earlier said the teenagers had been visiting relatives in Marsden.
