Clydebank trains disrupted after report of shop robbery

Train services through Clydebank have been disrupted following reports to police of a robbery.

At about 13:55 on Sunday afternoon officers were called to a shop in Second Avenue, Clydebank.

A full search of the surrounding area was carried out by Strathclyde Police officers, causing disruption to the ScotRail services on a track between Singer and Dalmuir.

Police said a plastic BB gun was recovered and a man has been detained.

ScotRail said due to emergency services dealing with an incident between Singer and Dalmuir services had been disrupted, but all had resumed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Clydebank Police Office.
