Woman, 98, robbed in Glasgow home
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 98-year-old woman was robbed in her home in Glasgow.
Strathclyde Police said the incident took place when a man entered her home in Dykebar Avenue, Knightswood, after claiming to be delivering a parcel.
He then pushed the victim and stole a small sum of cash.
The woman was not injured but was badly shaken by the incident, which police said took place at about 14:30 on Thursday.
The suspect was described as white, late 30s to early 40s, and about 5ft 8ins tall.
He was wearing a black jacket and black trousers.
PC Alan McGregor, from Glasgow City Centre Police Office, said: "This is a despicable crime, targeting the most vulnerable people in our communities.
"I doubt the person responsible has any conscience and won't think twice about committing further crimes of this type.
"I am therefore appealing to anyone with any information which may help identify the man responsible, to contact police as a matter of urgency."
