Appeal after man robbed in his Paisley flat

Police have appealed for information after a man was assaulted and robbed of a three-figure sum of cash at his flat in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

The 42-year-old victim was attacked after answering the door to two men at his flat in the town's Clavering Street East at about 01:30 on Friday.

He was released from Paisley's Royal Alexandra Hospital after receiving treatment for a head and eye injury.

Police Scotland said they believed the attack was targeted.

There is only a description of one of the suspects available at this time.

He is white, about 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. He was wearing dark jeans and had a grey scarf tied around his face.

Officers are gathering CCTV images from the area and are carrying out house-to-house inquiries in a bid to trace the men who carried out the robbery.
