Uddingston train casualty taken to hospital

A casualty has been taken to hospital with leg injuries after being hit by a train at Uddingston in South Lanarkshire.

The incident, which involved the service from Craigentinny to Glasgow, was reported by the train driver at 05:20.

British Transport Police officers and the ambulance service were called to the scene.

The incident caused delays to trains between Motherwell and Glasgow.
