A woman who set herself on fire in the reception area of Clydebank police station two weeks ago has died.

Police said 58-year-old Katrien Praats, a Belgian national, died in Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Thursday evening.

They said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

However, a post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

The Police Investigations and Review Commissioner will conduct an investigation relating to Police Scotland's contact with Ms Praats in the lead up to the incident on 7 January.

Police said this was standard practice.
