Police in Glasgow seize cannabis and six-figure sum in drugs raid

Police carrying out a drugs raid on a property in Glasgow have seized cannabis with an estimated street value of approximately £7,500.

A six figure sum of money was also recovered from within the property during the raid on Castlebank Place.

A police spokesperson said that no arrests had been made in connection with the find and that inquiries were continuing.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Det Insp Alasdair Anderson of Greater Glasgow Division said the "significant" seizure demonstrated their determination to crack down on drugs and to seize money raised through illegal drug dealing.

He said: "We are dedicated to ridding our communities of drugs and will always act on intelligence received. By effectively gathering information and with the continuing help and support from the local community we will keep targeting those involved in serious and organised crime."

"Anyone who has any information regarding drug dealing in their local area should contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained."
