Three arrested over man's death following Paisley disturbance

Three people have been arrested after a 60-year-old man died following an alleged assault at a flat in Paisley.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance at the property in the Renfrewshire town's Broomlands Street at about 14:35 on Monday.

William Brittle was taken to the town's Royal Alexandra Hospital, where he died on Tuesday.

Two men, aged 26 and 45, and a 41-year-old woman are due to appear in court in connection with his death.

Police said a post-mortem examination would be held to establish how Mr Brittle died.
