Ainslie Exton, 89, killed in Kilmaurs road accident

Police have named an 89-year-old woman who died after a road accident in Ayrshire on Saturday.

She was pronounced dead just after arriving at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock.

Police said the crash happened after the 74-year-old driver of a second car appeared to lose control.

Her car collided head on with Ms Exton's purple Peugeot 107 at about midday.
