A 25-year-old man is to stand trial later this year charged with raping a woman in a car at a park.

John McMahon, of Motherwell, denies attacking the woman in Queen's Park in Glasgow's south side in March last year.

Prosecutors claim he initially had consensual sex with her before doing so without her agreement.

A second charge includes the claim he assaulted her and robbed her of £20.

During a hearing at the High Court in Glasgow, a trial date was set for July.
