Rail commuters between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh faced disruption on Monday morning after weekend engineering work overran.

Other services affected included trains from Glasgow to Aberdeen, Alloa, Dunblane, Dundee, Inverness and Perth.

ScotRail said the disruption had been caused by engineering work which had not been finished on time.

However, the rail operator said a full service on all lines had been restored by 10:55.
