Man seriously injured after falling into Clyde in Glasgow

A 28-year-old man has been seriously injured after falling from a footbridge into the River Clyde in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called the Tradeston Bridge, also known as the squiggly bridge, in the city's Broomielaw area at about 03:35.

The man was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and was later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Police inquiries are continuing into the incident.
