A performance by singer Edwyn Collins will close this year's Inverness Book Festival.

The Glaswegian suffered two severe brain haemorrhages in 2005.

His wife Grace Maxwell, whose new book is called Falling and Laughing: The Restoration of Edwyn Collins, will also appear at the festival.

Running from 12-15 August at Eden Court, it will also feature Scots author Janice Galloway and BBC Dragons' Den contestant Levi Roots.
