Revamp for Dalmore distillery visitor centre

A whisky producer is to spend £1m on upgrading a visitor centre and shop at a distillery in the Highlands.

Whyte & Mackay-owned Dalmore, near Alness, has distilled whiskies that have sold for £10,000 a bottle.

The distillery has also launched a Clan Mackenzie bottle designed to raise funds to refurbish nearby Castle Leod - the clan's spiritual home.

David Robertson, director of rare whiskies, said the revamped centre would be a "multi-sensory experience".
