The front section of a Nimrod surveillance aircraft has gone on display at a museum.

The Nimrod MR2 last flew in March 2009 before officially being taken out of service when the RAF's Nimrod fleet was retired earlier this year.

It has become an exhibit at the Highland Aviation Museum at Inverness Airport.

The spy in the sky from RAF Kinloss in Moray joins a Tornado jet and part of an English Electric Lightning fighter.
