Police in patience plea to A9 motorists


Police are warning motorists travelling the A9 in the Highlands to be aware of heavier traffic than normal along the route.

Crowds have been gathering for the Belladrum Tartan Heart music festival, near Beauly, and the Moy Games Farm, near Inverness.

There are also two sets of road works between Inverness and Aviemore where traffic has been queuing.

A police spokesman urged travellers to be patient.

Belladrum is expected to attracted crows of 13,000 people. It finishes on Saturday evening.
