Police seeking man after disturbance in Inverness

Police are trying to trace a 36-year-old man after three people were injured in an early morning disturbance in a flat in Inverness city centre.

Baron Taylor's Street and Lombard Street have been cordoned off.

Police said the man is white, about 5ft 10in tall, of medium build and was last seen wearing a dark beret. He has since left the Highlands.

Officers also want to trace a silver Citroen C5 car, registration number HK52 TYH.

Northern Constabulary said the man and vehicle were no longer in the force area.

Other Scottish forces and police in England have been alerted.

A police spokesman said: "Three people within the property received minor injuries as a result of the disturbance.

"The area has been cordoned off by police while officers carry out inquiries into the circumstances.

"A nearby fast food premises was closed for a short time while police carried out inquiries."
