Wick man accused of attempted murder

A man has appeared in private at Wick Sheriff Court on a charge of attempted murder.

Anthony Robertson, of Wick, is alleged to have assaulted another man by stabbing him with a sword in the town at the weekend.

The 17-year-old is also accused of repeatedly striking him on the head with a knuckleduster.

Mr Robertson made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody pending further inquires.
