Two injured in two-car crash at A87 Shiel Bridge

Two people have been receiving treatment in hospital for serious injuries following a two-car crash in the west Highlands.

The drivers, who had no passengers with them, were involved in the collision on the A87 at Shiel Bridge, near Kyle.

Police said they were alerted to the incident at about 1750 GMT.

The road was closed for several hours after the accident while Northern Constabulary's road policing unit carried out an investigation.
