A9 crash victim named by police

A man who died in a crash on the A9 in Caithness has been named by police.

Michael Cameron, 23, from Thurso, was killed in the crash which happened on the A9, about three miles north of Spittal, at about 0310 GMT on Saturday.

Another man in the car was taken to Caithness General Hospital. His injuries are not known.

Northern Constabulary have asked anyone who saw a silver Vauxhall Astra car being driven between Thurso and the crash scene to contact them.
