New Migdale hospital in Sutherland to open to patients

A new £8m hospital in the Highlands will start admitting patients from the end of the month, NHS Highland has said.

Migdale Hospital at Bonar Bridge, in Sutherland, replaces the existing 150-year-old hospital in the village.

The new building will provide 22 beds in two units from 20 June.

One unit is for older people with mental health problems and the other provides GP-led beds and offers a range of in-patient services.
