Man arrested following dog's death in Inverness

A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a Staffordshire bull terrier in Inverness.

The dog's body was found near Assynt Road in the Kinmylies area of the city on 4 November.

Police said the 37-year-old man had been arrested and would be reported to the procurator fiscal.

Northern Constabulary added that its officers were following a positive line of inquiry about a second man possibly linked to the dog's death.
