Police probe 'unexplained' death

A 44-year-old man's death in Caithness has been described as "unexplained" by police.

Northern Constabulary emergency services had responded at about 04:33 to a report of a man who was unconscious in Halkirk's Church Street.

He was dead when emergency services arrived at the scene.

A police spokesman said inquiries were continuing into the cause of death and a report would be sent to procurator fiscal.
