Man on trial for two rapes in Moray

A man has gone on trial accused of raping two young girls in Moray.

Alistair Bowie, 44, of Coachford, Aberdeenshire, allegedly committed the offences when the girls were aged between five and 15.

He is charged with offences against one girl between 1990 and 1997, and the second between 1996 and 2006.

Mr Bowie denies a total of 16 charges at the High Court in Inverness. The case, before a jury of nine women and six men, is due to resume on Tuesday.
