Caithness crash passenger transferred to Aberdeen

One of three people injured in a crash in the far north has been transferred from Caithness General Hospital in Wick to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Police said the 37-year-old man was a passenger in one of the two cars involved and had serious injuries.

A black Volkswagen Golf and a red Honda Civic collided on the A836 Thurso to Castletown road at Murkle on Monday at about 16:45.

The section of road was closed for seven hours before it reopened.
