A stretch of road between between Lochcarron and Kyle has fully reopened.

This part of the A890 has been shut since just before Christmas Day last year following landslides.

The A890 helps to connect Lochcarron to Plockton, and its high school, and eventually with Kyle, on the opposite side of Loch Carron.

The road runs across the top of the sea loch to link up with the A896, the main road to Lochcarron.

Highland Council said the road would be open 24 hours a day from Monday, with traffic control measures to allow the removal of vegetation and the contractor's site along the length of the road.
