Firefighters in the Highlands are continuing to deal with two serious wild fires in the far north.

On Tuesday evening, crews began battling blazes at Killiminster between Castletown and Wick and at Canisbay.

The A99 was closed south of John O'Groats for a time before it was reopened later.

Fire crews from Acharacle, Fort William and Mallaig have also been dealing with a number of heath and grass fires in Lochaber.
