Lorry fire shuts A9 near Aviemore

A section of the A9 was closed for several hours after a lorry caught fire near Aviemore.

Northern Constabulary said the blaze broke out shortly after midnight on Friday.

Diversions were been put in place, with traffic leaving the A9 at the Granish junction and passing through Carrbridge before returning to the A9 at the Blackmount junction.

Police allowed lorries to remain on the road using a convoy vehicle.
