Police believe air gun used to damage cars in Culloden

Police believe an air gun may have been used to cause damage to vehicles in Culloden, in Inverness, over the past two weeks.

The vandalism was reported in the Tower Road area.

Two incidents happened late at night on 1 and 3 September. The two others happened at 13:30 and 13:45 on 10 September.

Insp Steve Davren, of Northern Constabulary, said the possible use of a weapon was "extremely" concerning.

He said: "As well as causing damage to the vehicles involved, this reckless and dangerous behaviour, in such circumstances, has the potential to have much more serious consequences than have thankfully been reported to date."
