A community group has had a smartphone app created to help people to tour archaeological sites in its area.

The Strathpeffer Initiative said the software provided guides to six sites in and near Strathpeffer, in Ross-shire.

The sites represent periods from 5,000 years of history.

They include Bealach nan Cor, a Neolithic chambered cairn, also a vitrified Iron Age hill fort at Knock Farril and Pictish Eagle Stone.
