Car with children in same front seat stopped by police

A car stopped by police on Skye during a national road safety campaign was found to have two children sitting together in the front passenger seat.

The man driving the car was among 120 motorists reported for alleged speeding offences in the Northern Constabulary area between 8-11 March.

A 44-year-old man stopped in Fort William was a disqualified driver who went on to give a positive breath test.

The safety campaign was organised by Acpos.
