Man airlifted after Isle of Lewis 'cliff fall'

A 23-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after apparently falling off a cliff on the Isle of Lewis.

Stornoway Coastguard said the accident happened at Tolsta Head, on the southern end of Traigh Mhor, at about 18:00 on Saturday.

Lewis Saunders was flown by helicopter to the Western Isles Hospital.

A family member said he was undergoing tests to assess the extent of any injuries.
