Fans enjoying RockNess music festival at Loch Ness
Thousands of music fans have gathered for the three-day RockNess music festival, close to the shores of Loch Ness.
Emergency services said the event has been good natured in good weather, with only a small number of people reported for drug offences.
Acts appearing include Plan B, Basement Jaxx, Example, Fatboy Slim, Madness, Ben Howard and Jessie Ware.
RockNess has been held since 2006 and attracts about 30,000 people.
Supt Stevie Mackay, from Police Scotland, said: "There has been a good atmosphere and the weather could not be better. It is clear that the vast majority of people have heeded advice prior to the event."
On stage, US musician Steve Aoki is also on the line-up and expected to throw cakes into the crowd during his performance.
He "caked" members of his audience at a festival in Miami earlier this year.
Aoki is also known for spraying the front rows of crowds with champagne.
Comedians appearing include Daniel Sloss, Janey Godley, Dylan Moran and Julia Sutherland.
DJ Fatboy Slim, aka Norman Cook, was the headline act at the first RockNess festival to be held. Basement Jaxx have also previously played at the event.
Police, the fire service and NHS Highland have urged revellers to heed advice on safe camping and alcohol consumption.
