Woman who died after 100ft cliff plunge on Skye named

Police have named a 48-year-old woman who died after plunging 100ft down a cliff at a popular tourist location on Skye.

Kerstin Weir, from Edinburgh, fell at the most westerly part of the island, Neist Point, on Saturday.

Emergency services were called at about 16:00 and Dr Weir was taken to Broadford Hospital.

Police Scotland said her death had been investigated and was not being treated as suspicious.
