A lifeboat station in the Highlands has taken delivery of a new, larger and more powerful lifeboat.

Volunteers of RNLI Kessock at North Kessock, near Inverness, have been training intensively on the use of the Atlantic 85 class craft.

It replaces the station's Atlantic 75 class lifeboat, The Moray Dolphin.

RNLI Kessock said the new boat allows the station to put four crew instead of three out to sea and added that it was faster and stronger.
