Brora to host an open access wi-fi zone

The centre of Brora in Sutherland is to become an open access wi-fi zone in a pilot project supported by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
The zone should be up and running by the end of the month.
Registered charity Brora and District Action Group have developed the project with the hope that it will benefit businesses and tourists.
A high speed router and antennas have been installed by Inkspot Wifi to provide the service using a BT line.
HIE is funding the project for three years at a total cost of more than £40,000.
