Ward at Raigmore Hospital closed by sickness reopened

A ward at a city hospital that was closed to new admissions after patients fell ill to sickness and diarrhoea is reopened.

Ward 2A at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness had eight patients with symptoms.

Initial tests suggested one of the patients had the winter vomiting bug, norovirus.

NHS Highland said further tests had detected no presence of the bug in the ward.
