Plans for a brewery in the centre of Inverness have been turned down.

The owners of the Glen Mhor Hotel on the city's riverside wanted to demolish a bar to incorporate the multi-million pound development as part of the existing Victorian building.

Highland councillors were concerned about the proposed scale of the development, as well as other issues including parking.

The scheme was unanimously rejected following a site visit.
