Police appeal after woman attacked in Inverness

Police have appealed for information after a woman was attacked by a man in Inverness on Saturday.

The assault happened between midnight and 01:00 in the area around the city's Waterloo Place.

The attacker has been described as being about 30 years old, 6ft tall with a medium build, collar length hair and wearing a thick checked shirt.

Another man was believed to have intervened during the incident. Police have appealed to him to get in touch.
