Teenagers among eight hurt at Inverness roundabout

Eight people including two women aged 18 and 19 were injured following a collision involving a car and a van in Inverness on Sunday night.

The teenagers were at a pedestrian crossing at the Inshes roundabout when they were knocked down.

The 19-year-old woman has been receiving treatment in Raigmore Hospital for serious injuries.

The other woman and four people who were in the car were also taken to hospital before being later discharged.

Two people who were in the van were treated at the scene by paramedics.

The incident involving a blue Honda Jazz car and a white Ford Transit van happened at 19:00 at the roundabout where it joins Walter Scott Drive.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
