Chief executive quits Gaelic development board

The chief executive of the Gaelic development board, Bord na Gaidhlig, has resigned after just three months in the post.

Iain Campbell has left the Inverness-based organisation with immediate effect.

In a statement, Bord na Gaidhlig said Mr Campbell had stood down for personal reasons.

It has not commented on reports that there had been tensions within its management team.

Bord na Gaidhlig works to promote Gaelic in partnership with the Scottish government and other Gaelic organisations.
