Two in hospital after Aberdeenshire road accident

Two people have been taken to hospital after a road accident between a car and a van in Aberdeenshire.

The collision, on the B9170, happened on the Inverurie to Oldmeldrum road just after 1200 BST.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said two men were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, one with a fractured leg and the other with back and arm injuries.

A Grampian Police spokesman said the road was closed as a result, but was expected to reopen in the afternoon.
