Body of missing angler recovered from River Spey

The body of a missing angler has been recovered after he was swept away on a stretch of the River Spey.

Police identified the victim as 69-year-old William Richmond, of Middlesex.

The alarm was raised shortly after 1100 BST close to Grantown and searches took place on stretches of the river in Moray.

Northern Constabulary said the man's body was found in the Blacksboat area at about 1530 BST.
