Man charged over 'terrible' attack on 63-year-old woman

A man has been charged after a robbery on a 63-year-old woman in Aberdeen, described by police as "terrible", which left her injured.

The attack happened on the city's Portal Terrace on 29 June.

Grampian Police said the victim was left injured and shocked after the robber escaped with her handbag.

A force spokesman said a 27-year-old man had been charged and added that a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
